The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation 2007 & 2011

Research Accolade at UK and International Conferences

Molecular Profiles are pleased to announce that results from one of our scientific collaborations has won accolade at two recent conferences. In conjunction with the University of Nottingham Tissue Engineering group and the National Physics Laboratory, Molecular Profiles gained recognition for work on ‘Visualising surfactant and protein distribution within PLGA microspheres for controlled drug release’.

This current research demonstrates the approaches to and understanding gained from the characterisation of controlled release drug delivery microspheres. This is a delivery technology which has potential applications in protein therapeutics, e.g. to treat degenerative bone conditions. The multidisciplinary body of work obtained the ‘Seah award for best overall presentation’ at the UK Surface Analysis Forum meeting in Newbury UK on July 11th 2010. This award was followed up by the Best Poster award at the Controlled Release Society conference in Portland, US.

Molecular Profiles continues to endeavour with innovative pharmaceutical development and advanced physicochemical research to produce and optimise robust, cutting-edge formulations.
